Our Website, as well as the websites of some of our third-party service providers, may permit you to connect your activities on our Website and our content with your social media accounts such as LinkedIn, including through the use of social media plugins (such as the LinkedIn “Share” button). The operator of a social media plugin may set cookies or other tracking technology on your browser to recognize its users when they visit our Website again. For example, LinkedIn social media plugins allow LinkedIn to show your Shares and comments on our Website to your LinkedIn network. Your use of social media plugins is subject to each social media website's Privacy Statement, so we encourage you to use care and thoughtfully read the Privacy Statement of each social media website that you use. We have no control over the information that social media websites or social media plugins collect, store, or use. We are committed to taking appropriate measures to enforce compliance with this Privacy Statement. In addition, we comply with applicable law and with customer-specific requirements for protecting personal information.
We provide reasonable security controls to protect electronic information that we receive from you against foreseeable hazards, but please note that no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. In compliance with Privacy Shield Principles, Valiant provides EU and Swiss individuals with access to their personal information, except when the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to an individual’s privacy in the case in question, or if the rights of persons other than the individual would be violated. EU and Swiss individuals may also request correction, deletion, or blocking of personal information processing under the control of Valiant that does not comply with law.
EU and Swiss individuals who have access requests or questions or complaints about Valiant’s Privacy Shield policy and related use of their personal information should contact Valiant’s Privacy Officer, designated below.
In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, if we are unable to resolve a Privacy Shield complaint from an EU or Swiss individual regarding personal information that is not collected in the employment context, we will refer the unresolved complaint to JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution mechanism located in the United States, at no cost to you. Information about how to file a Privacy Shield complaint with JAMS can be found at: www.jamsadr.com/eu-us-privacy-shield.
